Why You Should Choose a Goldendoodle for Your Next Puppy

When choosing your next puppy-in-crime, what traits do you desire? Should the pup be smart, easily trainable, intensely loving, or energetic? How about a puppy that is hypoallergenic and lives a long happy, healthy life? If you say yes to these traits, your sights should be pointed towards a Goldendoodle.

A breed that emerged into the breeding scene in the 1990's, Goldendoodles have become one of the favored choices for dog owners. Goldendoodles are a cross between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle, which both score in the top 10 of the smartest dog breeds. They take the temperament of the Retriever and the low to non-shedding coat of the Poodle. Combined with both breeds loving nature, Goldendoodles stand out in the crowd.

Goldendoodles provide health and vitality for themselves and the household. These doodles have a lifespan of 10-15 years, with minimal health issues to worry about (Note: Always look at the genetic history of your pups before you take them home to make sure you are aware of any possible issues that may arise down the road). Their coat provides minimal to no shedding, making a great choice for people wanting a hypoallergenic dog. Goldendoodles are energetic and need at least 15-30 mins of exercise a day, which makes you get your steps in!

With all that energy, you might think Goldendoodles are hard to train. Think again! With their high level of obedience, want to please and super high intelligence, they are one of the easiest dogs to train. That being said, it does take time and effort to train any dog. Please take the time to do so properly. It will only help you and the dog, along with creating a deeper bond.

Picking a Goldendoodle puppy for your next dog will be one of the best decisions of your life. They are kind, loving, smart, obedient, energetic and always looking to cuddle. They are amazing companions and the perfect dog for your kids to grow up with. So, go out and find that Goldendoodle that will steal your heart!
